Android ‘s Samsung Nexus S: Release date

Samsung are trying to continue their great success with the Google based platform, Android. Samsung is Android’s best performer and that is why Samsung have been given the task to continue the Nexus range.

The release date for the Samsung Nexus S is right in time for Christmas. It will be released on December 16th in United States and December 20th in United Kingdom. The price of the phone is $199 with a two year T-Mobile contract or a non-contract device is $529. Best Buy and Best Buy Mobile have the exclusive rights to sell the phone in the United States and in the United Kingdom, the Carphone Warehouse will be selling the phone. For a non-contract agreement in the United Kingdom, the cost is £550.

The Samsung Nexus S will be the first phone to be featuring the new Android operating system; the Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS. The new features which Android 2.3 will produce are improved memory management, which means improved battery life. Other new features are SIP internet calling, a new multi-touch software keyboard and system wide copy-paste functionality.

The Samsung Nexus S has a 1GHz Cortex A8 processor making it very quick. It also has 4 inch display screen, a rear-facing 5MP camera with auto-focus and flash and a front-facing camera for video-conferencing.

    “Samsung is Android’s best performer”
Don’t remember seeing a Samsung logo on the Hero, Desire or Desire HD. Samsung Android devices have been good, but anyone that says they’re ahead of HTC is either naive or corrupt.

You have GOT to be kidding.

Hmmm not only will every wireless provider tell you they are the best but the EPIC is the only phone you need to see to realize they are top of their game in the wireless world. Its like comparing a black and VHS Video to blue-ray. The screen density of the epic is 240. The top screen density besides that is 180 (Evo) thats just if you like to see the content on your phone though no biggy… I would also like to add the proof is in the pudding. If google chose of everyone Samsung then guess why??? THEY ARE THE BEST:)

I have been very happy with my Nexus One. I am really struggling between the Nexus S and it’s pure gingerbread, and the DesireHD with it’s aluminum body and HTC manufacturing. I don’t have any experience with sanding phone but, I have read a lot and owned many HTC phones. To say samsung is the leader is marketing hype. In any case it’s a tough decision. I’ll probably have regrets for whatever choice I make.
