Samsung are trying to continue their great success with the Google based platform, Android. Samsung is Android’s best performer and that is why Samsung have been given the task to continue the Nexus range.
The release date for the Samsung Nexus S is right in time for Christmas. It will be released on December 16th in United States and December 20th in United Kingdom. The price of the phone is $199 with a two year T-Mobile contract or a non-contract device is $529. Best Buy and Best Buy Mobile have the exclusive rights to sell the phone in the United States and in the United Kingdom, the Carphone Warehouse will be selling the phone. For a non-contract agreement in the United Kingdom, the cost is £550.
The Samsung Nexus S will be the first phone to be featuring the new Android operating system; the Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS. The new features which Android 2.3 will produce are improved memory management, which means improved battery life. Other new features are SIP internet calling, a new multi-touch software keyboard and system wide copy-paste functionality.
The Samsung Nexus S has a 1GHz Cortex A8 processor making it very quick. It also has 4 inch display screen, a rear-facing 5MP camera with auto-focus and flash and a front-facing camera for video-conferencing.
